It may be early September but I’m already thinking about my favorite fall recipes. With summer winding down to an end in a few weeks, now is the time to start thinking about how to incorporate pumpkin into your dishes. Nothing says fall like a hot cup of coffee with your favorite dessert! Mine happens to be the delicious Pumpkin Bars from Rosies! What are some of your favorite fall baked goodies?

Did someone say “Taco Night?!” But first, let’s talk guac. Guacamole is always a huge hit at parties… and with March Madness around the corner, it’s time to level up your guac game. We recently refined our guacamole recipe for 2019 and gathered our tips to share with you below! We will continue to serve with tasty Pasqual’s Southwest Tortilla Chips. Image is shown below:
The basic guacamole consists of 3 ingredients: Of course, the holy avocado. Have you ever wondered why avocado is so loved by everyone? (Maybe it’s because it’s filled with vitamins and contains fiber, which ultimately helps control your blood pressure and keeps you full for longer… or maybe because it’s undeniably delicious!) Moving on to the second and third ingredients, add a splash of lime juice and a hint of salt. Add more for a stronger taste.
Salted chips made in grease might not be the best option if you are watching your figure. You can enjoy any of these recipes by substituting tortilla chips with carrots, celery, cucumbers, and more! Just about everything goes well with guacamole, am I right?
As tasty as the traditional guacamole is, check out our delicious recipes packed with bold flavors and still nutritious!
If you like your guacamole smooth and creamy, try adding Greek Yogurt! It’s a simple addition while keeping guacamole fresher for longer, due to the probiotics from the yogurt. This is a much healthier alternative than mayonnaise or sour cream.
Now imagine combining the 2 best dips of all time… guacamole + hummus = heaven! This combination is not only packed with flavor but also a powerful snack by helping fight hunger and keeping you full for a longer time.
Need a little kick? You can toss chili peppers into the mix or simply add Sriracha sauce. Sriracha already contains chili peppers along with a hint of garlic and vinegar. You can reference the red bottle with a bright green cap below for your next grocery trip:
Do you prefer sweet over spicy? If so, you’ll love fruit guacamole. You can combine your favorite fruits, but we suggest pineapple, banana, and mango. Serve this to your friends and family on a sunny day, and everyone will leave feeling refreshed and full!
For all you meat-lovers out there, you’ll enjoy this guacamole twist. How does guacamole and BACON sound? Once you try it, you may never go back. Adding crispy bacon bits and Cojita cheese toppings make this guacamole a huge hit at tailgate parties.
All aboard seafood lovers! Have you ever tried crab to your guac? This lean meat adds a soft, delicate texture that fits well with this recipe. This combines a little flair and a great taste. If you’re more of a shrimp fan, this is a healthy route for weight-loss diets while remaining extremely tasty too. Shrimp is low-fat and low-calorie, in which you can enjoy frequently in your guacamole without worrying about the after-guilt.
Other small twists to add to your guacamole recipe:
corn, black beans, pistachios, or cashews.
If you prefer traditional guacamole and enjoy just the way it tastes as is, try serving it as chunky instead of smooth. This makes a nice display of all the ingredients inside all while still keeping the same and simple taste. Or, throw it on the grill! Grill the avocados and mix with the other ingredients, and you’ll end up with a nice guacamole spread for your tacos, toast, or power bowls.
By adding a twist to your guacamole, it can make your taco night an unforgettable (and yummy) night with friends and family.

Kabobs are the perfect party platter that’s simple to make so you have more time to party with your friends! Kabobs are great for the grill, with endless possibilities to make diverse meals to fulfill anyone’s plate. Kabobs aren’t only for on the grill; you can make a variety of kabobs besides the traditional style (that is still an inexpensive, easy recipe to make).
Even though kabobs are perfect for summer, you can still eat them all year long, using different fruits or vegetables, depending on the season.
Veggie kabobs make the perfect appetizers to serve for all occasions. Not to mention, they are super easy to make.
Check out above: Caprese Salad Kabobs – Tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. This is a healthy, easy alternative to serve to groups of people or even in a small setting.
Fruit Kabobs are a fun way to get creative by simply selecting a variety of fruits and putting them on a stick! You can even have the kiddos help make their own creations. They’ll love it. Make every bite juicy for your guests, they will thank you!
If you are missing summer and still ready to grill, make it easy on yourself! Pair your favorite protein with veggies and sprinkle seasoning for a special touch.
WARNING: Make sure you warn your guests when distributing kabobs with metal skewers; the skewers hold heat for awhile after they are removed from the BBQ rack. If you are cooking on the grill, we recommend using cardboard skewers instead of metal skewers. The potential of burning yourself with the metal skewer is more likely.
TIP: With any kabob that you make, you can have your own variety of sauces on the side to add special flavoring. Some examples are cilantro sauce, honey chipotle, chimichurri sauce, and peanut butter!

It’s pumpkin season, it’s time to get festive and fun! There are so many things that you can make with fall’s favorite flavor; no pumpkin-packed treat is off-limits! Hope you enjoy!
One of the oldest recipes of time, Pumpkin Pancakes. Who doesn’t love tasty and fluffy pancakes, especially on Thanksgiving morning. It’s so easy to make batter, you can even have the kids help. Don’t forget to make a little extra. Pancakes are great for leftovers, too!
Pumpkin Spice Hummus
Pumpkin Spice Hummus (or “Pumpkin Dip”) is the perfect after-school snack. It’s quick and easy to prepare, and even more delicious to eat. It features flavorful ingredients such as chickpeas, cashew butter, and maple syrup. Blend all together till smooth. Pair the sweet hummus with honey graham crackers or apples, and you are in for a real treat!
Spicy Pumpkin Chili
It’s pumpkin season AND chili season. This is the perfect duo! For people that aren’t huge fans of the taste of pumpkin, this is the perfect recipe. Simply add a variety beans, such as kidney beans and black beans and seasoned ground beef. Saute’ diced green chilies, tomatoes, and garlic (this is what overpowers the pumpkin taste) and mix all ingredients in a crock pot. Allow time for flavors to fully brew. Serve hot, with grated cheese and a dollop of sour cream if desired. Yum!
Classic Pumpkin Pie
There are a variety of twists you can put on this Thanksgiving classic. You can upgrade your pie by adding something simple such as peanut butter (the kids go nuts over this), or by making shapes and figures out of the pie crust as a topping. It makes the perfect centerpiece!

4th of July is less than one week away, but you still have plenty of time to prepare for your patriotic party. BBQ’s and Pot Lucks are the easiest for everyone to participate in having holiday fun. Ask guests to bring side dishes and drinks, and remind them to wear Red, White and Blue for extra holiday fun! Don’t feel like cooking? Hire a caterer to assist with throwing a fun, stress-free summer party with delicious food for everyone.
DIY decorations are the way to go when throwing party now-a-days. Stars, stripes, flags, and anything red, white and blue can be found at any dollar store. Just stock up on 4th of July products and get crafty! Holidays are the perfect excuse to be “extra” with your beverage presentation. Show your patriotic side by preparing easy 4th of July cocktails to your guests that are over 21, along with non-alcoholic drinks. Serving snow cones with cherry and berry flavors is an easy way to appease all age groups. Grab all your friends and huddle around the fire pit, it’s time for strawberry smores! This puts a fun, healthy twist on traditional smores where guests of all ages can still participate. Just place the strawberry on the skewer, slightly melt the marshmellow, and fuse the two together. Hold both over the flame while rotating, and cook till toasted enough for your liking! You might never go back to eating regular smores again.

Provide options for your guests. Consider providing vegetarian options in addition to your main course.
One of our favorites is Rodeo Wagon’s Smokey Summer Quinoa Salad. This features smoked paprika and citrus flavors. This is a great option for summer events when you aren’t sure how many diners are vegetarian since protein options can be served on the side.
We recommend having a self-serve style so guests can add their own toppings, condiments, ect. This principal also extends to beverages served. Include both alcohol, for your guests who are over 21, and non-alcoholic beverages so everyone has the option. And always be sure to have water! It’s easy to quickly become dehydrated during the summer time.
